Founding Story

Welcome Imagineers! My name is Brittany Ballou and I am an educator coach with 10 years experience working with educators focusing on STEM, technology, gifted, and innovative learning. I have written curriculum for math, science, and STEM departments, built a STEAM program from the ground up, and have been a featured writer for numerous education technology companies, including 3Doodler, Robotical, and Breakout EDU. I enjoy working with educators to find their niche, help their students learn through hands-on activities, and bringing the fun back into the classroom.

I received my undergraduate degree from Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia where I majored in Biology, minored in Elementary Education, and graduated from the Honors Program. I received my K-12 Gifted Education Endorsement from James Madison University.

Some of you may already know the connection for "Imagineer,” while others are looking at me with two heads. If you’re a Disney fan, like myself, you know that the heart of the company is driven by their Imagineers, people who use their creative outlet to implement innovative storytelling for Disney. This is my goal. I want my classroom to be more like Disney! I love pushing my students to think outside of the box, while also getting the faculty at my school to implement new ideas into their classroom. I strive to push myself to find the newest technology to get my students ahead of the curve when it comes to STEM career fields.
